Driven by a belief in the power of design to enhance our lives and the cities in which we live, Paul and the Conrad Architects team are recognised as leaders in premier residential development in the City of Boroondara and broader Melbourne. The design studio, with a highly considered and respectful manner, is thrilled to be at the helm of bringing these three-bedroom residences to Hawthorn.
Renowned designer Jack Merlo has implemented his inimitable understanding of the City of Boroondara into Melfort’s landscape design. He leads a talented team dedicated to crafting visions with the end user’s benefit at the core of the design process.
Melfort’s landscaping palette echoes that throughout Hawthorn and its neighbouring suburbs. Evergreen trees, delicate star jasmine and lilly pillys are a few selected species employed to complement the stunning, verdant domain of Boroondara itself.
The residence’s sophisticated tone is formed by the unity of Italian Carrara marble, timber and European appliances.
The history of this residence itself has provided the team of architects and interior designers with incredible creative inspiration. The intention of the home’s enlivenment was not to totally redesign, but employ cleverly considered elements that complement and champion its existing being. A Georgian-style exterior of beautiful symmetry welcomes residents, and beyond the front door lies a stunningly maintained home, brought into the current day with contemporary touches.
From the moment of entry, residents are overtaken with light, bright, glorious and grand surroundings. Finely detailed cornices have been preserved, looking onto generous spaces where European oak floorboards set the foundation.
Beside the living room is a kitchen of the highest calibre, seamlessly designed to inspire culinary creations. Benchtops of Carrara marble are seen at the front of the kitchen, while a cleverly concealed back area houses pantry and storage space as well as the fridge – enabling an easily maintained front kitchen area. Up a staircase, which features a charming curved tread detail, are the bedrooms – impeccably designed havens of luxurious retreat. A stunning master bathroom rounds off the home, bringing through the opulent Carrara marble into the floor tiling and benchtops, while a freestanding bath is placed by the windows, for moments of total relaxation.
Master ensuites are settings of elegant proportions, featuring a double vanity, grand shower and a freestanding bath – luxuriously equipped and ideal for unwinding.
